Ben's SARS - Lydia Ainsworth

The following is based on a true story: whether you agree with me or not, you can tell me why and we can still be friends!
Subway Album Review: Lydia Ainsworth - Right from Real
Even in the din that goes hand in hand with the sardine-tin confines of a subway car on a cold winter's morning, this album is delightful, the right kind of beautifully crafted soundscapes to transport a person. This is the kind of music that inspires different images in every listener's mind. For me, it's a lonely sylph flitting about through an ominous miasma; in other words, the perfect setup for a fantasy-horror film or Danish fairy tale. At any rate, the music seems well aware that not every story will end happily ever after.
I chose the video above* because I am really impressed by this live performance and also to point out the descending synth line at about 1:20 that may or may not be straight lifted from the score of The Goonies. I only want to bring this up, because this music fills me with the same kind of childlike wonder and hopefulness that led an unlikely group of outcasts to pirate treasure.

TL;DR Inspires the most abstract kind of thought, makes me feel uncertain and ambitious, but all in a good way!
*Editor's note: this video doesn't seem to exist anymore. So i replaced it with a non-live version.
