Ben's SARS - Kero Kero Bonito

Joan Cusack freaking out in a kitchen, asking WHAT IS HAPPENING

The following is based on a true story: we can be friends if you want.

Kero Kero Bonito - Intro Bonito

What is even happening here? First it sounds like a Final Fantasy boss battle. But then there's some British woman rapping in a old-school Grandmaster Flash cadence in both English and Japanese before transitioning into cutesy Lilly Allen-like hooks.

There's so much happening, but none of the parts is too complex, meaning it's all still pretty easy to follow along. Lots of funky little sounds and neat production on songs covering a broad range of hard-hitting societal criticisms like "My Party," "Pocket Crocodile," and "Babies (Are So Strange)."

I hope this doesn't make it seem like I disliked this album. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit as it injected some energetic youthful enthusiasm into my morning commute.

TL;DR This is your jams if you got ADD.
