Ben's SARS - Fetty Wap
Ben's Subway Album Reviews: committed to music reviews of toilet-break length.
#11 - Fetty Wap - Fetty Wap (Deluxe)
This album made me feel old. Ear-hair geezer old! It starts with bleeps and bloops and vocals that glide through all recognizable pitches with some computer assistance. I don't have a clue what the lyrics are about, partly because I am trying to also read an interesting and slightly experimental book and partly because I am an ancient regular quadrilateral.
One thing I feel qualified to comment on about this album is that it's really loud. The recording and mastering engineers have outdone themselves - these club bangers could go toe-to-toe with uh... the other top club bangers.
Otherwise, I don't really know anything about this kind of pop-rap, but I can easily envision a whole room full of inebriated people waving their drinks wildly about while hollering along with Fetty Wap. On another note, in my head Wap rhymed with tap, but in real life, it rhymes with top. What a letdown!
TL;DR I don't even know, i think it's cool?
